Residential Interior Designer
We are seeking a talented Residential Interior Designer to join our coastal California design-build team serving Orange County luxury homes.
About This Role
Cindy Horner Designs is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Interior Designer to help create stunning, livable spaces for our clients across Orange County. You will collaborate directly with Cindy and our production team to develop cohesive design concepts, source premium materials, and manage projects from concept to completion.
Responsibilities
- Develop interior design concepts and mood boards for residential remodeling projects
- Select finishes, materials, fixtures, and furnishings aligned with client vision
- Produce detailed space planning drawings, elevations, and construction documents
- Present design proposals to clients and incorporate feedback
- Source and specify products including Cosentino surfaces, custom cabinetry, and lighting
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously across Orange County
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and installation teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field
- 2+ years of residential interior design experience in luxury or high-end market
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design software
- Strong portfolio demonstrating coastal California or luxury residential work
- Excellent client communication and presentation skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with 3D rendering or architectural visualization tools
- Familiarity with design-build project delivery
- Knowledge of HOA restrictions and architectural approval processes
- NCIDQ certification or in progress
